Re: Request to yalt to release his sources, as required by G

I'm reminding [Yalt] friendly that Tremulous is licensed under GPL. Therefore, you're required to make available the complete source codes any modifications you have done under the same license to any user who asks for it. I, as the author of my mods, have the right to enforce the license. This is ...

Yes, that would be an improvement. It is far better to just leave the team, though: no grenade, no blowing yourself up first, no attracting admin attention (for that, at least).

Hmm… could be because the game was already lost and it basically didn't matter (in the sense that a fairly prompt alien attack would see it all explode anyway). That would still be grounds for a ban, though (see below).
I said "I assume it was epic who basenaded", and 3 people sais yes, so I banned you. I didnt have time to properly check buildlog before next map started loading, so I didn't get to have a proper look at it.
/buildlog. Run the game with a much larger scrollback buffer. Check your demo recording.
I saw no-one claiming basenade by this other player.
Doesn't matter if it's deliberate, though I'd make the usual exception for we've-already-won basenades.

And, assuming that that console dump is accurate – well, there's a “Qwerty blew himself upâ€￾ in that. I'd call that a basenade or, as Epic says, a basemine – either way, that's bannable.

RCZ source – looks like it's been there since October last year. (Also, Rotacak has updated the #rcz topic to show the source URL, and I may get one or two bugs fixed.)

Nothing was signed, nothing was agreed so no contract. There is a licence document, and that lists various conditions which you must meet for it to be legal for you to distribute binaries. Yalt is currently in breach; he and/or other admins are being idiots by taking action with extreme prejudice ag...

I'm not convinced about extra texturing – the first release was very clean in this respect and benefitted a lot from that.

I (as “GPL Compliance Is Requiredâ€￾) have just been banned for asking about it.

Yalt clearly has no intention of releasing source. This is unfortunate since it means that he is therefore automatically in breach of the licence for Tremulous and has no right to distribute the QVM code for his mod.

The ideal situation is that the source is released (in full, for the current and, as and when, all future versions of the mod). I'm quite sure that Yalt would get some help with maintaining and improving the mod.

I therefore suggest that either the source is released or the copyright holders take appropriate action.

Human base almost has that padded-cell feel to it. It needs just a few small texturing changes to perfect that…

Cleaning up by de-registering identities which haven't been used for months is fine, but not used for just a few days? I'd call that excessive.

putteam was used, but he did play. He could have chosen not to.

Vriess on ALIENS!!!!1!!11!one!!11!!eleven

Demo here (12MB) – he was on aliens for about 9 minutes, starting some 3 minutes in.
