Actually - the dretches were made invulnerable to friendly fire for only one reason - they died even to basilisk swipes and therefore in the heat of the battle the bigger aliens lost evos. Thats the reason. Anything even remotely close to "lets bleed base coz i'm bored" means only - you're piss poo...

Granger and rqawz found it funny to shoot some nodes. Granger started shooting nodes on Xtremesurf, and stopped on the moment rqawz could finish it.
