Deconners leaving quickly

This seems to be a favourite these days. Just had an instance of the overmind plus one or two other items being deconned by one (nonstarter) who then left quickly.

As things stand, once a player has disconnected, AIUI, that's it, no action can be taken if none was taken while he was connected; it would help if players who've recently disconnected could be kicked, or at least some way of triggering the logging of relevant information should be made available (in case of no/slow admin).

Not available in this case, unfortunately… was thinking more “can't kick this player nowâ€￾ than “let's gather evidenceâ€￾.. No idea if anybody else (Powa?) gathered evidence.

Splas' idea WOULD be usefull.

Go find a russian clan named .gm (gentelman) (last.gm, omistaja.gm, filler.gm) Their server had scripted (iow - automatic) stuff very well. Some fuckloser decons, he's logged in somehow (even if hes a random dude), if he gets a kick, revert is done by server.

True, so long as I think about it at the time…!

Anyway, I noticed that this issue also pops up in this thread (in which you posted).

In this specific case, though, I'm presently fairly sure that no further action is needed; nonstarter showed up this evening and all was well.

Closing before PPNL will spam whole thread.
