The Thing, disguised as Dr.Who, teamkilled someone for blocking the entrance to a lift.

This normally gets a kick. From an admin, this is even more unacceptable.

Biretta wasn't AFK, so it's fair to say he probably had a reason to block the lift. It's not because you disagree with someone that you can force them out of the way. Stuff doesn't work like that.

In fact, no reason suffices to teamkill someone and then act like it's justified.

Did you hear his story too?

And well, you don't know what he asked on teamchat and if he listened or not.
You could push him away with ease though.
But if he walks back and pushes you, and thats the only entrance...

Someone trapped me too with like 4 tubes, and he didn´t want to decon the acid tubes and went: Muahaha your my pet etc, i transformed to basilisk and deconned the tubes, thats like the same thing right?

Silverburn youre too much into case. We have good admins. They do bad ofc but still - they try hard. Thing propably had a reason why he Tked him, ofc it wasnt the best solution but still - you have to hear his part of story to report him. People make mistakes.

Sgt. Silverburn did right thing. We need to point to admin mistakes and then learn from it. Admins need to know that others admins watching them :)

Lancer, it's pretty much the same thing. And in both cases, calling a vote to kick the person is the correct response. Although in the alien case, destroying a tube so you can walk past, ain't exactly the same as purposefully killing the person who's doing this to you.

An admin should know to call vote to kick. Hell, going on admin chat and explaining what happening and then kicking, would have been perfectly fine for me. The_Thing has that power, as a level 6 admin. Instead he acted like a normal player with no powers whom doesn't know admins exist. Which is the biggest oddity to me.

Player blocks route for other humans. This is exactly what we admins are here for: to clear stuff like this up. The_Thing *is* an admin. So why didn't he take the proper route?

Like Nod says, we do bad things sometimes, but when you're an admin, that weighs extra.

To state that you're going to do something, either via public chat or admin chat, then do that – so long as the reason justifies the action, fine.

I can understand the TK in as much as both players lose something but both can continue to play; but the TKer has to have said beforehand that this is what's intended and why, and the 'victim' has to accept that he's not been playing fairly and has a chance to put that right.

Continued problematic behaviour or TK in response is wrong, but so's the initial TK. Sometimes, though, it's the least wrong response…

Thing: be careful…

Rota - Putteaming might cause higher treat becouse it clears Evo/Score count for players. Most of them will rage about it.

Nod and thing, please check the date on my post on the admin app thread and then the date of this thread's creation. It looks like there's some confusion. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I posted it there because it wasn't very long after thing got his admin. I didn't mentioned it here because I believe it would have been redundant.
