I would not agree with you on that one. You can live longer only if you lag much - about 400 ping no less. Then you start jumping (teleporting) instead of moving, which causes some trouble aiming with sniper-weapons (lasgun/md).
Otherwise, you are as easy to snipe as 1ms guy. Hits are calculated on server side, and it does not care that the position change packet had a delay from the client.

For example:
A - person with ping 500.
B - person with ping 100.

A location is (0,0).
B location is (100,0).

A sends movement packet to position (100,0) (a dretch...). Server will receive this packet in 500ms.
B simultaneously sends a shooting packet to server, aimed directly at position (0,0).

After 100ms:
Server still have not got A players movement packet and thinks he is at 0,0. But, server gets shooting packet from player B now. And kills the poor dretch sending the death packet to player A (500ms delay).
After 500ms:
Server finally receives player's A movement packet. Checks it's status and ignores it (player A is dead, wtf?).
After 100ms + 500ms:
Player A receives a death packet and finally dies client-side.

So only the shooting guy's packet counts with unlagged=off.

Unlagged=on however, would take the "After 500ms" packet to action. So the dead dretch will hit the guy and kill him. That's why strange log appears (...was bitten by Quarko (-25hp left))

TremX is the worst mode ever, boring and stupid, really useless.
For me it's a good idea to create one server with unlagged off, let's see if there are going to be some players in the future.

I would set up 200 or less build points... Lagged with 999BP is crazy. Sometimes I can't hit the enemy on unlagged especially if aliens build in the center and humans are in blue / red base.

Spectre: there is many servers with low bp and unlagged off, but no with unlimited. Atleast I will not die so fast and fights are longer.

What about 300 BP at least? 999BP is too much, really :? I don't have such a good ping on others lagged servers and I don't have under control deconners, etc.

How about implementing some anti-huge-base mod?
I would really look forward to that (especially on lagged server).

Anti-huge-base: each 'sector' can't have too many structures at once. Best implementation is to calculate how many structures are in some specific radius from the building point. If it is > that constant max - deny build.
I've seen it implemented on some other server, and it felt really great. You can build unlimited, but you cant build 999 turrets at your base, only build forward.

Quarko: that is iteresing. I can try to code it someday.

But still - I have no problems with big bases. If is there lag spike, when I entering base, then it is same on unlagged.

There is lag when any alien comes to the 999 turret base as all turrets start rotating = packet spamming. So on lagged server you can't aim properly any aliens as they start lagging everyone who can see the rotating rets.

I think 150 bp can be acceptable but there is a serious question how many people will play on the server. More than 180 bp seems to be too much for me.

SD is important, mostly aliens are waiting for SD to begin attack. I think it would be good if about 70-80% players agree in vote.
