Yeah, I'm changing the outside structure so jets are never out of reach for any alien class, I'm also making a few new routes interconnecting some parts.

I've started texturing. I'll post some screenshots later. Upper parts of the map will keep the clean minimal look, bottom parts will be a little more involved, but still fairly simple. Using custom textures for everything.

Yeah, thats cool. Dont sacrifice the looks/feel of them map though. Its really really sexy (kinda looks like the animus from assassins creed )

I'dd like to but you need to sign up for a premium account or something on that link you provided :|

Made a big change to the map, the two sides now join at a 90° angle. The bases can still see eachother at the start though. I'm playing with the idea of even having glass walkways into eachother's base to take peeks.
I've made some more translucent ceilings and walls.
I'll probably expand the high loop and make the elevator sections much more involved. Should make for some much more interesting gameplay.

I'dd show screenshots but the working copy looks like a mess at the moment :P

pr0tip: when joining glass brushes, turn the faces that touch into caulk, hides the transition nicely.

And yes, I'm thinking about where and how to make the secret rooms :P

Yes. The problem with rooftop is severe. There are 4 routes for mara, but to get there you need skill and not even one tesla blocking. I ask for redoin that becouse s2 and s3 is just one sided play for humans

Yeah, I've already changed the outside area substantially in my working copy. There'll also be ways for aliens to get up easily.
I might have a new version sometime next week :)
