[Redemption]

Thumb. Thumb. Thumb. Thumb.
I hear it over and over again.
over my head. to my left. to my right.
I open my eyes and look up.
earth is all around me. i look up again and see timber and people running along it.
i call out. no one hears. i call out again and close my eyes losing all my will power to live.
Thumb. Thumb.Thumb.Thumb.
my heart goes. each beat becoming weaker and weaker.
i see my life going away. fading away.
then there is another loud Thumb Thumb Thumb in the back ground.
i open my eyes once again. i see the rotors of the helicopter coming down to get me.
i've been saved once again. to be healed and put back out.
to be put back into hell.

Bang Bang Bang.
my rifle is running low.
my aim is getting bad.
my life is almost over.
i look up to see a helicopter fly over me.
i see it in it's grace and glory.
it's shiny black metal in the sunlight.
a Boom is heard this time.
a rocket. heading to the helicopter.
i shout.
i scream.
no one is listening.
no one can hear.
Bang Bang Bang.
this time it isn't me.
this time it's the helicopter.
going down.
going down that big black cavern.
i look down.
i see someone.
i call another helicopter in.
he is almost dead.
he has his eyes closed.
he opens them and says to me,
'' leave me be.''
i hook him up and see the helicopter go.

as i'm flying in the black hawk.
it's wings noise keeping me alive.
i hear someone say,
'' this is the point of no return, Sir.''
i feel it again.
that sinking feeling.
but this time.
it's friendly and warm.

he died. the soldier i saved died.
he was my brother-in-law.
and his name.
his name.

his name was :Jake.
