isn't that what a hacker is? a person who goes onto something to change or get rid of something that is there and leave no tell tale signs of change?

No.
Hacker by definition is the person that uses something differently than it was designed to be used. That's a generic definition.
For example:
Hackers can write viruses to make your computer behave differently than it was designed to behave.
Hackers can hack game and make it do stuff it was not designed to do.
Hackers can find a glitch in some bank software and use the bank system the way it was not designed to be used (like transfering unlimited money to themselves).

no i just put up my thought of what a hacker is.
and anyway i asked. i said isn't that what a hacker is.
but quarko is correct I've been 'hacking' since i first got into programming and hardware to software work.
i just said it was ''jumbling wires and hoping it would work''.

today i hacked my computer... sirsly my computer wouldn't start up for the last day or so and just now i did a whole revive of the computer files.
meaning: i repaired all the error messages and restarted the whole thing.
IT WORKED I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES.
and the reason it was buggered in the first place was that i was playing trem while downloading some new software.
