Nalf can probably make something like:

/ban 1d XX Destroyed RC with SAW
/Revert
Sure, such scriptable auto-bans could be implemented. Another solution would be to forbid non-payers building, and perhaps also killing a friendly building. And if a paying player decons, he simply loses his subscription and his payment is forfeited.
I agree with this one, but make the And if a paying player decons, he simply loses his subscription and his payment is forfeited part non auto because sometimes its good to decon om/rc for move etc.

I disagree on that. First, you cannot guarantee that payers won't camp. As Gunther wrote, new players tend to camp because they die as soon as they get out of their base (I know that well :-)). Also the game sort of motivates humans to camp because they're so dependent on their structures. So if we want to prevent that, the game need to be changed somehow.

And second, Trem is very well balanced, but for regular games. It's unbalanced on UBP (or with a lot of UBP).

Some of the mods on N7 are experimental and there is no need to keep them, but I think if we want to keep UBP-like gameplay and prevent camping, there is need for modifications.
Ok sounds legit, just worried that mods will use alot of ram/cpu.

I am hosting a tremulous server on an 8 GB ram Dedi (not VPS but a dedicated server) with a high speed internet speedtest says 99% faster then UK, its named [][][][][][][][][]PP :P but I won't advertise here for it because that's sad, it's just opened for fun :)

Post a picture of it, when you speedtest it, use share results button

Wow this topic really took off...

First of all, a paid server??

On a free open-source game????

Hahahahahahahaha no.

I started playing Trem because I wanted to get away from the "monthly subscription-pay for more items" junk.

And also, paying does not help the player at all, as other people have mentioned. (too lazy to look who)
I'm sorry in advance here, but look at Val. While he was still in his "less than better" days, he gave money to server and got level 5 and all the rights to it.
Did that make him a pro player overnight?
Nope. Some aspects might have even made it worse.

And then of course, there's me...person with no access to an online credit-card because of age issues.. >_>

Let's put the "crap" in "scrap" and scrap that idea for now I think.

EXP system. That might be something. TremZ I think is already trying to do that though.
I guess simple way: take Nalf's "evo-cred end-of-life readouts" and just store them in a file. Assign them by whatever means works best; qkey, IP address, nickname...it could work.
Then make servers that use those same files and have one for low-leveled and one for high leveled.
Then we could just stick it straight on RCZ as well.

He's right. Trem is gonna stay trem, player x is gonna stay player x.

1.We know that ubp Trem has its bad sides, unbalanced stuff.
2. We all have some ideas we would like to see implemented to fix bad or simply add new changes to the game.
3. You are willing to pay money to play the same game you've been playing since 2009 (3 years, same game, nothing changed since 2009/btw: 3 years, thats 20% of the time it took Diablo3 to develop)
4. Go look at Tremz website. Go look at Nalfs' website. Both are WIP, which means it all gonna be released sooner or later. They all do it for free.

Seems to me we have the ideas and the means to execute them.

Yet the path you choose is to pay some dumbshmuck to put a fucking password on a server.

Have you ever been to nalf's server? It gets laggy after 10 people join, unplayable.

I will donate a server for nalf and ams, and they will balance UBP eventually.

Untill then - just keep the feedback rolling.

For now, the contribution to the wiki is vulentary, but we'll think of something when the server is up.

But thats no guarentee.
The only thing for now, is you get a spot on the credits list for helping us (ams, nalf and me) out!

Sure, that always needs to be decided by someone.
Lanac wrote:Ok sounds legit, just worried that mods will use alot of ram/cpu.
The mods don't add any extra CPU/memory/network overhead. The resources utilization is just the same as vanilla Trem. The main problem (with any Trem version/mod) is when there are a lot of buildings, then it takes a lot of CPU.

For now, the contribution to the wiki is voluntary, but we'll think of something when the server is up.

But that's no guarantee.

So, on main-page under To-Do list; is that stuff freely available for registered users to submit things?

Yes, if you want to contribute, please.
Also, you can add more To-Do things yourself.

I will create all images that are needed! :D
