I don't think the radiator would really fit in the game, but I tried quickly modelling what it brought to my mind anyway -> Click for pic (idealy, the rods would glow blue)

Modelling doesn't take *that* much time, texturing is the time hog(at least was in this case). And besides, this model uses a lot of symmetry, I only modelled one sixth of it and used symmetry for the other sides. And yeah, the idea was that the top rises while rotating when aliens get near.

Ooh, is it better or worse than Blender?

They're just different IMHO.
But I find Gmax a bit more comfortable, Blender has a weird interface.
Though Blender is not bad and it's development is pretty active. (Gmax was discontinued AFAIK)

Aye, I find gmax user interface much easier to use and intuitive, at least for a beginner. Blender is better in some cases, but for game modelling gmax should be pretty much as good.

I fewtimes tried blender, but

1) I was scared by milion options everywhere
2) I hate python
3) I was able to create only box (and that is created by default)

What an OFFTOP xD

Electro field - Would stop aliens from going through, but hummies can do it. They can shot through it too. Its building a long time, and can be destroed easly. It would so much help with HUMAN CAMP

Aye Aye Sir! Lets Go with Some NODDLESS
The nodding of the head once to symbolize a greeting, cuz we white folk to damn lazy to open our mouths and speak up. Nods are also easier to shake off than a flase "hello".
"Person nods at you", or your direction, "you nod back"
