Best would be to ask Gimhael for final tremulous.exe

0. Ask Redman
1. Ask on tremulous.net.
2. What does it do?

This is the example video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEc8x1MI ... ata_player

Notice the shine on the Rifle, the high-res "bumpy granger", and the detail of the ATCS floor.

1. Download Tremulous source using command

Code: Select all

svn checkout svn://svn.icculus.org/tremulous
2. Apply the patch (you need to be in source code directory).

Code: Select all

cat <patch_filename> | patch -p0
3. Compile the game.

Code: Select all

make
4. Compiled executable should be in build/release-* directory.

I'm assuming that you've got basic unix utilities, svn and GNU make.

Holy shclamoly...that file was 1.4 GB..
There's so much stuff...

Which directory do I put the patch in? And which directory is the proper make file?

Like I'd run some Windows crap that doesn't have that built-in.

Why dont you compile one for the windows OS aswell? Would be really gratefull!
:L those SVN Repositories have all the needed sources + make files for Linux/Windows and mac.....

Unvanquished, anybody? It has normal mapping etc., though no normal-mapped granger yet.

Also, gimhael – seems that he's doing occasional work on Unvanquished these days.

I think that there's space for both games, so long as they're different enough (and I'm quite sure that Unvanquished will diverge from Tremulous more as time passes).

Tremulous someone?

Yeah, quite a good engine, nice etc etc, but it will never reach tremulous status.

Prove me wrong =]

Gunther, incidentally, Defeated (and me too a bit) are trying to port this patch for GPP. We'll let you know if we're successful.
