apparently it's bounce of random lines colored, but to see the 3d image hidden, u have to cross a little your eyes and try to focus more deeper.
on the image posted by troy, u will see a 3d chessboard, try it! it's really nice.

Mac. you do not have to cross your eye. On contrary you have to "un-cross" them, as if you are looking at something PAST your monitor, and not in front of it. Otherwise the image will be screwed.

i know what i do with my eyes, i cross them a bit and focus.

hmm... if it is a "bit" then it is right, if it is a "lot" then it is wrong ) I just didnt get the exact value of "crossing" you meant. So yes, its ok.

If anyone interested, NASA has a lot of stereo images avialable both for cross and un-cross types of viewing the image
