I can't stand it anymore.
My game runs so influent , whenever got near 3 rets and few humans i got those lag spikes and its so hard to aim then ...
I have 50Mb connection. PC that runs gta4 , far cry 3 and other shit so there's no reason for this.
Any ideas to improve it? I can't believe that every1 have as hard spikes as me .

Just be glad that it's three turrets and not hundreds of cratesâ€¦

(Check your settings â€“ rate, snaps etc.)

I guess fluent game play isn't for me :/ . Whatever , i dont need to be pro, just sometimes its hard to have fun out of this ;/

Rate 25000/50000
snaps 120
com_hunkmegs (half of your ram)
Com_maxfps 80/125
Com_zonemegs (quarter of your ram)

There are more, but need to check pc.

Check Quake 3 config things and what they do.

So what's the best config for playing unlagged? (i.e. having low ping so the hitbox for other players lags behind the actual image)

I have looked on google and found some suggestions on pitching the software options. Things like 'Low Quality Sky' and 'Dynamic Lights : Off'. It made a huge difference.

My rate/snaps stuff is this:

Rate 50000
Snaps 300
Com_maxfps 125
Cl_maxpackets 125
